The Business Brain
The Business Brain is Orbit’s tenant-specific intelligence layer. It holds what a business has confirmed about itself, how it wants to be represented, and what it has approved as fact — and it is designed to keep developing as the business operates.
It begins with structured onboarding rather than a blank prompt, so the work starts from a considered picture of the business instead of whatever context happens to be typed in.
How it begins
Nineteen stages, in a fixed order. The detail exists so Orbit holds structured information about the business, rather than asking the business to explain itself again on every task.
Four separate steps
Final review brings the onboarding submission together, including confirmations, evidence gaps, contradictions, warnings and blockers. Completing final review does not itself approve Business Brain records, verify the business or activate the account.
How it develops
After onboarding, the Business Brain is designed to continue developing through approved and relevant business activity and operational or customer signals, so that Orbit’s recommendations and outputs become increasingly specific to the business.
The Intelligence Model
This is the intelligence model Orbit is being designed around. It describes the intended product model rather than an implemented production architecture. These are not ranked from most to least reliable — they are different kinds of knowledge, used differently.
What the business has confirmed about itself — identity, services, locations, approved facts and sources, claims and safeguards, calls to action, contact details.
Records of business activity — orders and purchases, CRM activity, enquiries, lead sources.
What customers express — reviews, questions, objections, the language they use.
How the business wants to work — brand voice and tone, content and image preferences, channels.
Patterns derived from the above — conversion patterns, campaign performance readings.
Proposed actions and content.
New operational and customer signals may inform analysis, inferences and recommendations, but must never silently overwrite approved business truth.
Customer confirmation is not automatically equivalent to record approval or platform verification.
Controlled business information
Orbit is designed around controlled business information: what may be stated as fact, which sources support it, and what must never be claimed. Nothing is published, sent or actioned externally without the appropriate approval.
Why not a general AI tool
General AI tools begin with the context supplied in the conversation.
Orbit is designed around a persistent, governed intelligence layer specific to the individual business.
The value is not text generation. It is that the same business intelligence can support connected marketing and customer workflows, working from a shared understanding rather than from repeated explanation.
Connected workflows
Orbit is being designed so the same Business Brain can support connected areas of work rather than a set of separate tools.
